About Us
The University of Minnesota Women's Club Soccer team was founded in 2008 and became a formalized Sports Club on campus in 2015. We are regulated by the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA), and compete in Region V.
We foster a level of dedication, enrichment, and values that complements the academic initiatives of this University. To be considered eligible to play, athletes must maintain at least a 1.65 cumulative GPA, carry a minimum of 13 credits as a undergraduate or 6 credits for graduate students, and be within 6 years of the first term of full-time enrollment as an undergraduate student.
The club team competes against D1 clubs, DII and DIII colleges and universities, and local women's league teams. We have regular practices and a full game schedule. We compete in the NIRSA Regional tournament, and have qualified for the National Tournament in 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2021.
